British government spells end of 'i before e' rule

According to Associated Press:

"LONDON (AP) -- It's a spelling mantra that generations of schoolchildren have learned - "i before e, except after c."
But new British government guidance tells teachers not to pass on the rule to students, because there are too many exceptions..."

Visit their website for the rest of the article: http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/E/EU_BRITAIN_SPELLING_SHAKE_UP?SITE=MSJAD&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT

Can you believe, or is it beleive, this stuff? Next thing you know they'll want to used the letter "u" in all thier words, colour, favour, etc.

We must have rules; that's what keeps people from running into each other at intersections.
